Makeover Program: Miracle Challenge

Makeover Program: Miracle Challenge

There are many makeover programs in Korea;
helping people get makeover with their make-up, hair, clothes, and style.

Among those,
I think makeover through plastic surgery is the most extreme
and somehow shocking (in a good way) because
it really does changes someone's not just look but their life as well.

I've seen programs like, "Let Me In"
was very interesting.

Recently, I saw another makeover program called,
"Miracle Challenge"
And I found out that Wonjin clinic (I recently posted about Wonjin's mobile webstie)
was supporting and sponsoring the program.

So I visited Wonjin website and reviewed the program one more time.

"I WILL NOT LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE!!!"

The Benefits of Mangos

The Benefits of Mangos

Okay,

for three days in a row, I am still talking about Boracay.
LOL~

I guess I really loved and enjoyed Boracay
and my mind is still wandering around the beach.

One thing that I really loved was MANGO!!!

The mango fruit and mango shake was
soooooooooooooo delicious,
I couldn't stop eating and drinking!!!

That place named Manana,
is one of the most famous mango shake store in Boracay,
nearby the White Beach.

I am still thinking about mango shake.. yummy!!!!

And then,
I became curious about the benefits of mango,
because it probably has other benefits,
besides the yummylicious taste!!!

Mangos taste so good that people forget they are also healthy!  Discover how the “king of fruits” can help you, plus learn fascinating trivia facts and a few mango cautions and concerns.
Health Benefits:
1.  Prevents Cancer:
Research has shown antioxidant compounds in mango fruit have been found to protect against colon, breast, leukemia and prostate cancers. These compounds include quercetin, isoquercitrin, astragalin, fisetin, gallic acid and methylgallat, as well as the abundant enzymes.
2.  Lowers Cholesterol:
The high levels of fiber, pectin and vitamin C help to lower serum cholesterol levels, specifically Low-Density Lipoprotein (the bad stuff)
3.  Clears the Skin:
Can be used both internally and externally for the skin. Mangos clear clogged pores and eliminate pimples. (Read more on page 5.)
4.  Eye Health:
One cup of sliced mangoes supplies 25 percent of the needed daily value of vitamin A, which promotes good eyesight and prevents night blindness and dry eyes.
5.  Alkalizes the Whole Body:
The tartaric acid, malic acid, and a trace of citric acid found in the fruit help to maintain the
alkali reserve of the body.

6. Helps in Diabetes:
Mango leaves help normalize insulin levels in the blood.  The traditional home remedy involves boiling leaves in water, soaking through the night and then consuming the filtered decoction in the morning. Mango fruit also have a relatively low glycemic index (41-60) so moderate quantities will not spike your
sugar levels.
7. Improved Sex:
Mangos are a great source of vitamin E. Even though the popular connection between sex drive and vitamin E was originally created by a mistaken generalization on rat studies, further research has shown balanced proper amounts (as from whole food) does help in this area.

8. Improves Digestion:
Papayas are not the only fruit that contain enzymes for breaking down protein. There are several fruits, including mangoes, which have this healthful quality. The fiber in mangos also helps digestion and elimination.
9. Remedy for Heat Stroke
Juicing the fruit from green mango and mixing with water and a sweetener helps to cool down the body and prevent harm to the body. From an ayurvedic viewpoint, the reason people often get diuretic and exhausted when visiting equatorial climates is because the strong “sun energy” is burning up your body, particularly the muscles.  The kidneys then become overloaded with the toxins from this process.
10. Boosts Immune system
The generous amounts of
vitamin C and vitamin A in mangos, plus 25 different kinds of carotenoids keep your immune system healthy and strong.

WOW!!!
I never realized that mango had so much beneficial factors.
From now on,
we should all consume mango more often.

How to Get Rid of Sun-Damaged Skin: with Aloe Vera Gel

How to Get Rid of Sun-Damaged Skin:

with Aloe Vera Gel

As you know, I went to Boracay and it was all so amazing and
I did had a lot of fun!!!!

It was so much fun playing at the beach and the pool, under the hot sun.

HOWEVER,

my skin was very fully exposed to sun light, and as we all know,
excessive sun exposure leads to an uneven complexion, line, wrinkles, and redness and is the best way to age the skin.

AND THAT'S WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO ME NOW.

*sigh sigh*

Even though, I used 100 spf sunblock lotion which I bought at Boracay.

So I needed an emergency treatment for my sun damaged skin
and I have found out that aloe vera gel is the best!

Let`s take a look at the benefits of using aloe vera gel to treat skin conditions.

1. Aloe vera gel is great for moisturizing.

For women: Popularly used as a moisturizer by women who use mineral make-up regularly, aloe vera gel is great for face. Applying aloe vera gel on skin prior to application of make-up can prevent the skin from drying.

For men: Aloe vera gel can be used as an aftershave. Its healing properties can treat small cuts caused by shaving.

2. Aloe vera gel is great for treating acne.

Aloe vera gel has antimicrobial properties that kill bacteria and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce skin inflammation. It allows the skin to heal quickly and naturally with minimal scarring. Aloe is moisturizing but doesn`t give skin a greasy feel, so it`s perfect for anyone with an oily complexion.

3. Aloe vera helps fight common problems of skin aging.

Let`s face it: as we get older, everyone begins to worry about the appearance of lines and the loss of elasticity in our skin. The vitamin C and E present in aloe gel can improve our skin`s natural firmness and keep our skin hydrated.

4. Aloe vera can lessen the visibility of stretch marks.

Whether due to a growth spurt, weight change, or pregnancy - many of us are plagued with unsightly stretch marks. These marks appear due to minor tears in the layers of the skin caused by sudden and excessive stretching. Aloe vera gel can help hide these stretch marks by healing these wounds.

5. Aloe vera can be used to treat sunburn.

Aloe vera gel can reduce the pain and swelling you experience during sunburn. It acts as a protective layer on the skin and helps replenish its moisture. When the skin is hydrated, then it will recover faster from the sunburn.

So yesterday,
I ran to my favorite store, OLIVE YOUNG to buy the aloe vera gel,
and this is what I got!

99.6% Natural origin and 95.6% USDA Certified Organic Aloe vera
High-moisturizing and soothing moisture gel full of organically-grown fresh aloe vera.
Polysaccharide, one of the main ingredients of aloe, freshly soothes and hydrates face, body stimulated by heat and UV.
Non-sticky and fragrance free!

I really liked it because it's 95% organic,
so I'm just hoping that this will save and heal my skin!!!

The Wonders of Noni Soap: From Boracay

The Wonders of Noni Soap:
From Boracay

I was on a vacation for the past few days last week.
Since it's getting colder in Korea and I love warm weather,
I decided to visit Boracay.

And it was sooooooooooooooooo good!!!!
The sun was dazzling hot but it was perfect to have fun and spend time
at the beach and swimming pool.

Here are some amazing photos of Boracay:

  1. Boracay
    Island in Malay, Aklan, Philippines
  2. Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines

This is the most famous and beautiful White Beach of Boracay!

A cute boy I met at the beach:
He had such a big and beautiful eyes and smile!!!
=)

Boracay is a wonderful and an amazing place to visit for a nice, relaxing vaction.
But honestly saying, there weren't anything to buy for gifts.

However, I did found one thing that was a worth buying.

It's the NONI SOAP!!!

Here are some info about the soap:

Noni, a tropical fruit that is native to Asia, has been used as a nutritional tonic, natural medicine and beauty enhancer for centuries. Depending on the application, it is taken either orally or used topically.
Many people drink noni juice and use products containing the extracts and enzymes in noni. Noni soap is one such product.
Noni (Morinda citrofilia L.) has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory benefits. It is rich in antioxidants with a variety of tissue-healing and immune-boosting properties. For skin, it also has gentle exfoliating properties that help rid the skin of unwanted elements.
Noni soap is made from noni plant extract combined with other cleansing and soothing ingredients. Its healing, fortifying, protective and exfoliating properties make it ideal for those suffering from any number of skin conditions.
Skin Conditions Noni Soap Can Help With
Noni soap is great for dry or irritated skin, or for skin that is very sensitive and needs a natural, soothing and moisturizing cleanser.
Dyshidrotic eczema, with blisters, and general eczema, which includes reptilian dry, scaly skin, are among the most common skin problems that people turn to noni soap for.
Those with psoriasis, a chronic skin condition with scaly patches, often use noni soap to keep their condition at bay. Rosacea sufferers experience inflammation and reddening of the cheeks, nose, chin, forehead and eyelids. They often turn to noni soap to calm the skin down, as do people who are sensitive to other products and tend to experience hives, an irritating allergic reaction.
Seborrheic dermatitis is another common skin condition, inflammatory in nature and producing flaky scales, often inside the ear. A gently, daily sweep with noni soap can be just what the doctor ordered.
Noni soap is also popular with those who suffer from other skin conditions, including acne, ringworm or allergic skin rashes. It can be very soothing for those suffering from chicken pox or shingles as well.

It's very reliable soap because the noni fruit was grown in the Philippines but
it was manufactured and developed in Italy.

Since I'm very interested in soaps as well,
I'm going to use the noni soap faithfully!

I'm just so happy that I found another great beauty product.
Yay~~~!!!
